Rick Luebbe (United States · ♂) — After co-founding and running advanced-materials company EnerG2 (acquired by BASF), the hard lessons in energy storage led him to spin out Group14 in 2015 to commercialize silicon-carbon battery material.
Rick Costantino (United States · ♂) — As head of R&D at EnerG2 he saw the materials problems facing energy storage and co-founded Group14 to refine the silicon-carbon composite that became SCC55.
Aaron Feaver (United States · ♂) — A materials scientist from EnerG2, he co-founded Group14 in 2015 to scale breakthrough silicon battery technology.
