Michael Chen (United States · ♂) — Frustrated in grad school by proteins that refused to express, Chen co-founded Nuclera at Cambridge in 2013 with classmates to build the eProtein Discovery platform using cell-free synthesis and digital microfluidics for rapid protein production.
Gordon McInroy (United Kingdom · ♂) — A Cambridge PhD classmate of Chen's, McInroy co-founded Nuclera in 2013 and led development of the eProtein Discovery system as CTO before becoming COO.
Jiahao Huang (China · ♂) — One of the four Cambridge friends behind Nuclera, Huang co-founded the company in 2013 to commercialize on-demand protein and nucleic-acid synthesis technology.
