Maxim Fateev (Russia · ♂) — A distributed-systems engineer who built AWS messaging/workflow infrastructure and then co-created Uber's open-source Cadence engine, he spun the idea out as Temporal to make durable workflow orchestration available to everyone.
Samar Abbas (United States · ♂) — After building the Azure Durable Task Framework at Microsoft and reuniting with Fateev at Uber to create Cadence, he co-founded Temporal in 2019 to commercialize durable execution as a platform.
