May Habib(Lebanon · ♀)— Born in rural Lebanon and raised in Canada, after finance roles at Lehman Brothers and a sovereign wealth fund she co-founded localization startup Qordoba, which she and Waseem pivoted into enterprise generative-AI platform Writer in 2020.
Waseem AlShikh(Syria · ♂)— Originally from Syria and united with May Habib by a passion for machine translation, he co-founded their localization company Qordoba in 2013 and then co-founded Writer in 2020 as CTO.
